Project Management Officer - Operations

About the Role


Key Responsibilities:


1. Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Collaborate with project managers to develop comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets tailored to the specific needs of our consulting services.

  • Coordinate resources, tasks, and activities to ensure the successful execution of projects, taking into account the unique requirements of consulting engagements.

  • Utilize consulting methodologies and frameworks to guide project planning and execution.

2. Consultancy Project Management:

  • Lead and coordinate consultancy projects from initiation to closure, overseeing project scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.

  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication, managing expectations, and addressing any project-related concerns or inquiries.

3. Stakeholder Communication:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communication with internal teams and external clients, ensuring alignment with consulting objectives and expectations.

  • Facilitate regular meetings, status updates, and reporting to keep stakeholders informed of project progress and milestones, incorporating consulting insights and recommendations.


4. Quality Assurance:

  • Establish and enforce project management best practices and standards, integrating consulting quality assurance processes.

  • Conduct regular reviews and assessments to ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and align with consulting best practices.

5. Risk Management:

  • Identify potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines or outcomes, considering both IT and consulting perspectives.

  • Develop risk mitigation plans and escalate issues as needed to ensure timely resolution, taking into account consulting-specific risks and challenges.

6. Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including project plans, schedules, budgets, and status reports, with a focus on capturing consulting-related insights and recommendations.

  • Generate comprehensive reports and analysis to provide insights into project performance, consulting value delivered, and identify areas for improvement.

7. Continuous Improvement:

  • Actively participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance project management methodologies and practices, incorporating feedback from consulting engagements.

  • Provide recommendations for optimizing project delivery processes and tools to better align with the dynamic nature of consulting services.

  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, or related field.

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably within the consulting services industry.

  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques, tailored to consulting engagements.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to navigate complex consulting relationships.

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage competing priorities, and adapt to changing project requirements, with a focus on consulting-driven outcomes.

  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana) and Microsoft Office suite.

    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
